Week-end away with my 2 boys!!!

We've just had a lovely weekend away (thanks to my husbands boss!!!)

. We had two nights in Cabra castle, bed & breakfast and an evening meal on the Saturday night. We were originally going to leave my son with his grandparents but my Hubby wanted to take him as he rarely gets to spend the whole weekend with him! (not that I didn't want to take him!!!)

It worked out really well and the castle was quite baby friendly he also managed to charm all the staff of the hotel!!

On Saturday after a breakfast fit for a king and queen (and prince, of course) we took a walk to Dun an Ri a forest park across the road from the castle. It was lovely just to pass the time strolling along being at one with nature!!!!

On Saturday evening we had a fabulous 4 course dinner in the castle (all included - we couldn't believe our luck!) I always am dying to know what people had to eat - so for those of you who want to know I had - Ricotta & sage tartlet, then soup, then filet steak, raspberry brule and coffee with choccies (took these home for after Lent)!!!

When we got back to the room the beds were turned down and there were choccies on our pillows and they hadn't forgotten our little man they put a choccie on his little pillow too!! It was little touches like that, that will encourage us to return again. All in all, we had a fabulous weekend!
